သွေးတွင်းရှိ ယူရစ်အက်စစ် (Uric acid) ပမာဏ မြင့်မားမှုကို လျှော့ချပေးခြင်းဖြင့် ဂေါက်ရောဂါ (Gout) အဆစ်ရောင်ဝေဒနာများ မဖြစ်ပွားအောင် ကြိုတင်ကာကွယ်ရန် အဓိကအသုံးပြုပါသည်။
ကျောက်ကပ်အတွင်း အချို့သော ကျောက်တည်ခြင်း အမျိုးအစားများ (Calcium oxalate နှင့် Uric acid ကျောက်တည်ခြင်း) ကို မဖြစ်ပွားအောင် တားဆီးပေးပါသည်။
