ဤဆေးသည် Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) အမျိုးအစား ဆေးဝါးဖြစ်ပြီး အစာအိမ်မှ အက်ဆစ်ထုတ်လုပ်မှုကို လျှော့ချပေးပါသည်။
အစာအိမ်အနာ (Gastric ulcers)၊ အစာအိမ်အက်ဆစ် ပြန်တက်သည့်ရောဂါ (GERD) နှင့် အစာအိမ်အက်ဆစ် အလွန်အကျွံထွက်သည့် ရောဂါစု (Zollinger-Ellison syndrome) ကဲ့သို့သော ဝေဒနာများကို ကုသရာတွင် အသုံးပြုပါသည်။
